Dance in an Interdisciplinary Context

 

Dance in an interdisciplinary context is an educational project and movement workshop, working with the principles of exploration and improvisation. Here the participants create short performances inspired by artworks and supported by live music.

The participants and performer are the member of the community dance group NALITARI, who transform artwork into body movements. Nalitari is a charitable community that aims to develop equality, diversity and inclusiveness through dance and movement for people with different abilities.

The two day workshop was a collaboration with the art institution Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardja and the integrated dance group Nalitari in Jogjakarta/Indonesia in October 2017.

Participating local visual artists: Fj Kunting, Abimanyu Risao, Joan Widya Anugrah, Vivian Sakarny, Nanang, Didi Setyawan. Local musicians Farindo Reskha Jenark, Andec Subekti, Rais Kukers, Gendra Wisnu Buana, Doni. Workshop assistance: Tiara Brahmarani, Nurul Jamilatul Khasanah, Budianing Dwi Nur Agus Tian, Tita Dian Wulansari, Dina Triastuti.
